A magical session with Jessica and Jon in Prospect Park this past summer.
These two wanted to do engagement photos before their intimate Hasbrouck House wedding to get to know each other a little better and to get a little comfortable in front of the camera. All – brilliant ideas if you ask me. I love the simplicity and comfort an engagement session can create — just the two of you, with me trailing behind, providing rambling stories and the reassurance that being photographed can be easy breezy.
And then – photos! Cherry on top. These kind of portraits are super precious to me. They are little pieces of this real life that you share, this everyday kind of togetherness. Prospect Park in Brooklyn is home for Jessica and Jon — and I felt so fortunate spending an hour with them there this past summer and making these photos.
