First time I found myself in Key West – I loved it. THEN – THEN … I went to The Hemingway House, met all the extra thumbed cats and bam, I was completely, utterly hooked. Palm trees and constant summer feels and these laid back, romantic elopements – did I mention the hooked part.
Mimi + Graham’s elopement felt especially relaxed, romantic and fun — they got ready together (ALWAYS one of my favorite moves) at The Lighthouse Hotel, with family portraits taking place in their lovely courtyard. Their intimate group of friends and family gathered at The Hemingway House for an intentional, meaningful ceremony under the palms. (a close family member officiated – ALSO one of my favorite moves.)
Moving around The Hemingway House property is just about as amazing as you can get with a wedding venue. From the romantic ceremony spot, over to the incredible poolside cocktail hour and then to the beautiful lawn right in front of the house. Their planner, Vicky Furman, kept everything running smooth and the day felt as gentle and easy going as Mimi + Graham themselves. When the day itself truly feels like the couple — just total elopement success. Talented group of vendors below — so lucky to have been a part of this day.

And here’s a few of my favorite 35mm photographs from this day. (you’ll find even more here, if that’s your thing.) Felt like this day was extra meant for the slow motion, loveliness of film that you just can’t make up anywhere else. Magic.
