The best, magical winter afternoon with these two incredible women who invited me to photograph their dual proposals a few months ago. They chose so well — going with Hasbrouck House in the Hudson Valley as the backdrop for their day. (spoiler alert – the stone facades and snowy woods and cozy fireplaces were A+ proposal materials)
Each spent their own time planning out their own proposal – and watching them spend the time to honor one another just showed me so much about their relationship. It was intentional, meaningful — and super moving.
After their proposals (dual proposals! please tell me this is a thing now and how it should be moving forward, I’m so here for it) – we took photos around the property. One day I’m probably going to try to move into their fireplace room, camping out by fire with apologetic shrugs to their actual guests. It was the perfect space to warm up from the cold outside and for a quick glass of champagne (or two).
