Romantic Bluestone Base Camp Catskills Microwedding l Nina + Jesse

This Bluestone Basecamp microwedding was such a highlight of 2020 — Nina and Jesse created a romantic, natural, beautiful day this past autumn. Between the views of the Catskills across the Hudson and their kind, lovely family that surrounded them – it was everything I love about an intimate elopement.

Their ceremony was done by Miranda of Backyard Officiant in the perfect backyard nook of the venue. Sidenote – please give me all that autumn sun, that magic, glowy, autumn sun. Their late afternoon ceremony was so perfect – but I noticed something super special that day. At the end of the ceremony, after the kiss, in the middle of them walking back down the aisle together, they stopped and started hugging their guests, their family. Everyone got mixed up in all the love and after all the hugs happened, Nina and Jesse continued out together, laughing and smiling. And THAT — THAT — is the magic of elopements. I want to say “everybody gets the hugs” — but I’m hoping you can read between the lines and understand that it’s so much more that.

Their dinner was a warm, inviting affair — one long table with everyone gathered around on the patio of the main house. And just like with that amazing sun – give me all the candlelight reception dinners. With meaningful, funny, loving toasts that make you all mushy on the inside.

Everything about this Hudson Valley wedding was a joy to photograph — the connection between Nina + Jesse, their amazing family (WITH DOGS! DOGS DRESSED UP!), and the thoughtful, intentional, beautiful details of the whole day.

Elopements, forever and forever, have my heart.
