I thought the hardest part of doing this recap would be choosing the images and while, sure, it took me some time to narrow it down from the first round of 700 to only 50-some images YOU’RE WELCOME I’m finding the real struggle is trying to write something that sufficiently sums up all the feelings that swirl around in my stomach and ache in my throat and end up in a messy ugly cry. Obviously, I is very good at emotion-ing.
The people I got to work with – I got to photograph this past year, well, they are the best people. To all of you – – thank you for your kindness, for inspiring me to pieces, for allowing me to be a part of your story.
I cried at every wedding I photographed this year. And each time it reminded me just how lucky I am for being able to feel so connected to this job, this life and to all of you.
Every time I see your photography and read your blog, I cannot help but first, be in awe of your talent, and then flashback to the whimsy of our childhood memories. I’m so blessed to say, “I knew her when…” and I can see so much of your sweet mother’s creative spirit entwined with your own creative gift. You, yourself, are a work of art and love, and that’s why you capture others’ love so artfully and elegantly.
You truly have such talent, my old friend.
